How to Fish the Yakima River

In the late spring and summer, the water levels are incredibly high, making the river run bank to bank. Because the trout hang out right off the bank, we’ll be utilizing short casts to throw a few inches away from shore. We’ll teach you casting techniques to throw your fly right where it needs to be.
